| 1．Installation The subfloor It is important that you preplan the installation. Measure the width and length of the room. Draw the line to make sure the subfloor s are in the same horizontal line. The subfloor must be level, dry, clean and firm. Fix the subfloor in the ground. Provide expansion gap of about 10-16 mm (wider than skirting broad) between the floor and the walls. Before put wood floor on the sub-floor, you can put the plastic film on the surface of the subfloor to protect the vapor or moisture from going inside. Subfloor is the first thing you need to do, you should find out what type of sub-floor you currently have. It’s the actual base floor itself, which in most cases would be solid wood sub-wood. But our three methods are both suitable to the solid wood subfloor. Here we’d like to introduce our three installation methods individually, Nail Down Instructions This type of method is used primarily when installing a solid wood floor. Since solid wood floors are usually thicker, they need to be nailed in order to stay in one place properly. For each plank, usually three nails are being used, then put another plank. During installation, we also use the wedges to maintain proper gap between planks. The distance between the wedges should not be more than approx. 50 cm (20"). Glue Down Installations This kind of installation method is most common. It’s stable if done properly. It’s quieter than other installations, and less creaking when the floors expands and contracts. The most important thing is that the subfloor must be clean and even, otherwise there will be some sound like “popping” when stepping in and the bond will be broken. So the preparation work is very important. Spring Installation This installation is the most beneficial. It is flexible in the problem of expanding, because the spring can solve that problem. Put little spills to first replace the spring on the side of each plank against the wall, only for the side between the wall and plank. After the planks are put well, get out the little spills to put the springs inside. When the solid wood flooring contracts water, the springs will bear the expanding. This is the cleverest installation. Skirting boards After the installation is finished, you can remove the wedges, then cover the expansion joints with skirting boards or put furniture on the floor. The width of skirting board must be wider than the gap between the last plank and the wall. 2．Mantainance To keep the flooring dry, clean, protect it from water, rain or moisture. Not allowed to clean and wash with rod liquid like soap water or basicity water, in order to avoid damaging the lacquer film; can use dried pure cotton mop to clean it, do not use with wet cloth, petrol or inflammable things and high-temperature liquid. To do wax maintainance every other time, the time interval can
be fixed If you carelessly splash some water or leak some water in the ground, should clean it with soft cloth immediately. After that do not dry in the sunshine for a long time or dry with stove, in order to avoid the clack of the flooring. Daily, should keep the flooring dry and clean, usually the flooring
moisture Do not throw the cigarette butt or fired match in the flooring,
avoid burning If you not live in the house with flooring already installed, do
